Yes I said here...<br />Much planting going on here since we took out 40+ pine trees. Have dug shade plants and many hostas where there used to be pine shade. But.... thunderstorms and high winds delayed me yesterday. Still rain this am but will try to get 1st orders shipped today. Non stop now until mid June when things usually slow up. The hosta plant uses most of its food during Spring green up or flush. Some people want to come back and fertilize during mid summer but the experts say that this is a waste.<br />As far as fertilizer type, I like to use what I use in the nursery, a slow release nitrogen fertilizer.<br />The numbers are 12-6-6 with 3-4 month release. These fertilzers tend not to burn if you over do it.
